If the screw is in the 1st cat then Mazda should be the one screwed whether or not the VIN is in range. The problem could be wider than they are admitting to. Yeah I had mine done,Conmpression test #1: 175 #2: 170 #3: 170 #4: 160 and I had a leak down test Cyl#1: 0% from the crank case. Cyl#2 0% Cyl#3 0% cyl#4 8%, Guess which cyl the spark plug broke off in to...so it looks like a new motor for me (pissed)aMaff said:Don't forget to have them do a compression test on the cylinders it went throught to make sure that you don't need a whole new engine...

So I have been working with MazdaUSA to have them speed up the process... I mean I want to just take a look for my self but then they might not fix it. god this is a pain in my ass
