haha, not a big deal, yes the evo has 20k on it, the guy I bought it from kept it basically new!! I should take a pic of the engine, clean enough to eat off of, and he had never opened the original mats in they're original packaging, plus there was still the stickers on the side door from the factory about how to work the acd. also he even left the clear plastic tape thing that covered the mr badge near the shifter, I honestly felt like I was buying a brand new car. I got it for $25,000 which is really good for 05 mr with 20k on it. and especially in that good of condition and broken in correctly. the evo has an cat-back exhaust and an cai on it.
I'm selling the msp either with or without mods, i dont really know yet, I have it listed on car soup without mods and I have it listed on craigslist with mods at one price or without mods at anotherprice. i'd like to get at least 12,500 for it without mods, it blue books at 15,500 but it seems like everyone else is just giving these things away, our value is way under blue book. it runs great and has never given me a problem, and I would be willing to give it for 13,500 with mods, and honestly, it pulls so much harder with mods its crazy! im surprized how hard that car pulls, let me just tell you, we wooped some cadalac cts sport (the 5sec one with corvette logo on the back) on the way to pick up the evo, the guy passed us with a bad look and you could just tell he was thinking "Japanese crap piece o sht" but then when he got on the on ramp i turned it to 10 psi and we hurt him pretty bad, I gained on him the whole on ramp until we got on the highway where I passed, my friend was out the window wavin his arms around and coverin his mouth. and the guy was pissed, he just shook his head and looked down, he just paid 60,000 for that car and just got wooped by two kids in a mazda. haha, sorry for the long story and thanks for all the interest.

Yes You got a good deal on that car. It's rarely you'll find a decent well maintenanced Evo for that price with low miles!! How would you compare the Two MSP/EVo MR?? I know they are in a difference class, but you said you messed around on ur way home. Which one pulls harder from a "hwy Roll"

Sweet sweet ride. Thought about one myself. Between that and a STi. Alas Mazda won me over again with the 8 and its sweet sophistication. I'm an old man boys. Sorry to see you leave us.

Nice! How did your MSP run with the EVO? I'm sure on your ride home you must have raced the two.

well the ride home was fun, plus we had walky talkies so we kept sayin the talladega nights lines "shake and bake" then I pull up behind him "slingshot engaged" we got alot of looks between those two cars, and yea thanks, I feel like I got a pretty good deal myself. thats why I had to rush out and buy it before I even sold my car. and between the two, the msp has way less turbo lag, as soon as we pulled every time the msp would take off quicker, but within a sec the MR would hit its turbo and pass up the msp. its got a good gain on the msp, plus then we tried to launch the two, and off course the MR's awd 0-60 in 4.59 secs just destroyed the launch. but my msp is well fast enough to roll with it, it wasn't like it sucked compared to the other, they were just both so fast that basically anything that we found on the highway couldn't mess. actually a newer 911 carrera was playin around with us for a while. then he decided he wanted to cruise at 90 and we didn't want a ticket. sure enough 15 minutes later we passed him pulled over on the side of the road.
the craziest thing about the MR was the handling. I could weav back and forth on the highway insanely fast and the MR just kept wanting to do it faster. as soon as we switched at the gas station and I drove the msp for a while, I tried doing it, and I maybe weaved half as hard as I did in the evo and I felt like I was gonna lose it. my friend did the same test and was shocked at the difference.

be careful playing around weaving. it can be tail happy at times and if you're used to fwd it can be quite the surprise

I test drove one when looking at the evo. I liked it alot actually, it was a great ride.

interior wise, how does the MSP compares to the EVO?
i've heard evos are ugly as ****..and to tell you the truth, i've seen one and it sucked...

interior quality wise, did it feel cheap?

Yea,Evos and WRX/STIs have bland ass interior compared to the nice interior the MSP has.->IMO

But looking at the upcoming Evo X,Mitsu has definitely improved that since they have based the car from the new Outlander SUV.

i'd say the interior of the MSP is a little nicer, especially a base 8 with the ugly blue seats. both cars have pretty simple interiors though so it's not like the MSP interior blows it away.

i'd take my leather seats and slightly more plain dash over the MSP seats and slightly gussied up dash (with fake, hideous CF) any day. i'm not quite normal though as most would probably say the MSP interior is much nicer, i just don't think it's really all that special when compared to cars with really nice interiors and it fits in better with the evo's interior than a BMW interior

will do, yes Ive experienced that a little bit allready.

agreed the msp interior wasn't that impressive as well, I will give it's slightly better than the evo interior, but not by much. the stock gauge setup is kinda tight. but either or. much rather have an RS 4 interior over all pretty much.
and mentioning the seats, you must have the ssl. do the leather seats move up and down on yours? That is the most annoying thing I've found with this car, sorry I have a shorter body via back problems, and I feel short siting in this car since there is no way to raise the seat.

move vertically? no, they're simple seats. no movement in that direction, just front to back and reclining. might want to search around on evom to see what people have done as far as altering the seats, i'm sure it's come up before

im wondering, how much is the insurance on that EVO? i heard its as much as a corvette.

too much, I havn't got it all worked out yet, I have an 92 blazer still too, I'm trying to figure out whether or not its cheaper to keep the blazer as main transportation and put the evo down as pleasure driver. then I keep the blazer for free and pay less. other wise I'll probably sell the blazer and it'l turn out to be about 200/month

200 a month... i wouldn't complain if i had an EVO for that much for insurance. i pay 115 a month for my MSP.
