I just got some killer deals...

First, a set of Rota 18x8 +48 D2s for $600 shipped from a guy at Mazda 6 Club. The guy only put 2K on them before realizing he wanted a wider wheel for his RX-8. These are about $720 new.

And I just met a guy at lunch time who sold me his stock VW GTI tires with 1000 miles on them for, get this, $300!!!! He switched to all-seasons so he didn't have to switch back and forth and figured selling the tires before they wore out would get the most money. He was asking $300 so I jumped on it. What a deal!!! Its like buy 2 get 2 free... no wait, even better!

They are 225/40ZR18 Continental ContiSportContact 2 and don't show any signs of wear.

People either don't have space for a spare set of tires or they are mathmatically challenged and don't realize that the only extra cost is the steel wheels which cost less than the deductable on your insurance when you slide into a snowbank. Or you can spend a little extra and get some cheap knockoffs.

almost identical, except these are 1 piece. In fact when I spoke to the guy at the show about his, he said everyone keeps telling him they are Rotas. So I thought to myself, if the Rotas are more recognizable...why buy the SSRs at more than twice the price?
