I was in the process of taking apart my shifter casing when I decided to rip off my shifter neglecting the overdrive button and the wires connected to them. Now it is broken. Can anyone tell me where I can get an automatic shifter with the button? Because theer's no way I'm fixin this.

Oh yeah and how the hell you sposed to get the deck out before you take out the dash? I pulled the dash out some but I cannot get to the loop over the leg room without ripping the stereo out. Seeing how I break everthing that I touch I look to you.

I cannot fix the shifter because it does not come apart. I guess I'll just wire the overdrive to the switch panel and get any old shifter.
I just would like to make it the way it was in case I needed to sell it ever again.
Also if I were to get a turbo off of an olld eclipse would I have to adjust the fuel compression or somethin like that. This kind of thing confuses an idiot.

hmm yeah, well i haven't taken apart the interior of my msp yet, so i can't help you with the head unit thing. i usually found that when all else fails, use force. i install stereos and stuff and that theory has always worked for me.

dsm turbo huh... just get the spool kit. www.spool-turbo.com you would need to feed the beast more fuel. the fuel map for the current engine is for n/a. please post this in the forced induction section to get more hits.

If you are trying to take out the stock radio you probably need Din tools to pop it out. they are like $ 5 or less at any auto parts place.

stereo

Not sure if its like the MP3 set up, but when I went to install my amp I had to pull out the deck. The deck is clipped in by one clip on each side.

What I had to do was pull out the glove compartment so I could get to it easier, take a screw driver and come in from behind and push the clips out. I then had a bud of mine pull out the deck nice and easy while I held the clips out.

Apparently the owner of the MP3 before me didn't realize then and scratched the hell out of the interior around the deck...
SO that adds something else I get to fix. Ah well, good luck.

If you goto the HOW TO section of the forum, equinox posted a good how to on removing your dash. It helped me out, as I just removed mine today to start my interior paint job.
