I have a question maybe you guys can answer

I own a mazda3 and I've been reading a lot of posts on the P5 because my gf is getting a used car and we are considering the P5. (yes) However this question is realated to my mazda3.

Every time when the car starts from 1st the engine would seem to shudder a bit. It gets worse with load (2 passengers or with the AC on). This doesn't always happen and it's usually better when the car is cold. Would this be similar to the clutch chattering issue the P5's been plagued with? The car was very smooth before hitting 20k (it's at 30k km now).

Does it throw a CEL? If so take it to like AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts and have them scan the ECU with their OBD2 scanners.

If it doesn't throw a code then call around to a few repair shops or call Mazda and ask them. 9 times out of 10 they will give you an idea of what is wrong with it over the phone...some guys are assholes and will tell you to bring it in, and then charge you just to look at it and tell you " yep its broke...dunno what it could be though"
