Well I have been told by my St. Louis Mazda Dealership (Bommarito) that my cat blew itself apart. This happened on Christmas Eve. I was driving to get some last second presents. As I was pulling into a Baskin-Robbins my car got REAL loud. This is not Glasspack loud, NO, This was open header loud. I had noticed that the car was sounding a little louder in the days before this happened, but just barely and thought I was just losing my mind a little. What was real weird was that as I drove it after it happened, I could feel something banging around under the car.
After my wife quit bitching that the POS was only 6 months old (god love her nurturing spirit) I drove to my dealership which was a mile away. The service dept was closed so I left it there. They got to it the following Monday(day 6) and said that the cat gutted itself for me, and that the replacment is being sent from Japan. They asked me if i wanted a rental and I said not unless it was going to be a while. By wednesday (day 8) I figured I would need a rental to go back to work. I called and they said no problem just goto Enterprise Rental and they would take care of it. I was given a Geo Metro looking thing and I said upgrade me and got a Jeep Liberty (love this thing) for $12 a day more. Now today (day 13) I call because Im jonesing for boost and they said "its just the weirdest thing. Our computer now says the cat is on backorder and we dont know when it will be in".
I said that Im paying $12 a day for a rental and its going to start adding up. She says that i dont need to get the insurance. I say i didnt get insurance and that you guys tried to get me to rent a skateboard with windows and that I upgraded. She then sais "we will pay for your upgrade for as long as it takes". COOOOLLLLL.
She didnt buy my suggestion to replace the cat with a strait pipe.
And to make this holiday season complete, My Mother died the day before this all happend. Merry Christmas to all.
