It's out of the car, so unfortunately I can't perform a compression
test. The car I had it in was an '86 GTU (same chassis, just not as
'luxurious' as the GXL), so fitting the GXL shouldn't be an issue.
There are custom solid mounts in the chassis that I will sell cheap
with the motor, if you decide to pick it up.
You would not be able to use your current IM unless you converted the
whole thing over to fuel injection. You're best off finding a
carburetor to use with it, as all you'd have to do is drop the carb
on, and perform a little tuning. The stock ecu, or any ecu for that
matter, plays no part, as the carb will control the air-fuel ratio,
and the distributor will control timing. The distributor comes with
the engine.
This is basically a monster NA rotary motor, and will be relatively
simple to setup, since it is all mechanical.
