Scott, be careful about letting Kevin get too close to it, or he'll slap a Turbo'd Miata engine in there!

That's what I'm thinking. I just have in my mind that it is going to be something simple and inexpensive to fix...

i just bought one off my bro fer $300 cdn. 86 gxl, the engine is done, but everything else is in working order(even the pop ups). Should be a fun project to rebuild that motor. Good luck man

And this is bad because?

Actually, it would be more reliable and have more power, but as with anything else, if it's not a rotary, it doesn't belong under the hood of an RX!

even if it has 140 hp and less torque than a civic, its still a beautiful thing...

maybe in the begining... but I can see some fun going into this car, and in the form of a rotory of course.

Do I forsee a custom CAI in your future?
I didn't even think about it but I bet I could! I meant other fun things, more powerful things.

agreed. I was kidding about the LS1, as nice as an LS1 RX-7 can be it's still scareligious.. all the FC guys in Rochester have LS1s except for one Turbo II

well I couldn't get it started after work, but it is pretty damn cold and its sitting outside.

Time to invest in a switch to wire up to turn the fuel pump on/off.

I guess that wouldn't be too bad of an idea, but really it shouldn't be a problem nearly often enough to justify that. Maybe because of the motor problem it has, this is easier to do to Scott's car, but generally, this is a once in a life time, brain-fart induced situation.
