well i traded the crx and i now own a rx7 she runs great but she needs paint bad i will put pics up asap. I am glad to be back in the rotor game it has been a long time.
 
You have to at least give us a model year to work with here.....
 
Yea let me know if u need any parts I cover a HUGE aray of parts from stock to aftermarket..

And as Wes said..we will help and hopefully soon this forum will grow and MANY people will help if u have any tech.

I will also have my build thread up by tuesday I expect.

congrats and good luck. I had my snows/winter wheels bolted onto my rx8 yesterday, and my mechanic was refurbing a stock turbo from an 88 Turbo2 when I left. He showed me a crack on the inside of the exhaust manifold that was cracked. He said it had been like that for 6 years. :rofl: people think the 13b's are so fragile, but I tend to think a lot of the cars are pretty strong. :)
 
Pink pulley! I had a quick laugh, maybe the previous owner was trying to get the RE-Amemiya pink and blue scheme going under the hood.

so what is the first mod i should look into i was thinking header and full exhaust what do u think? also can u turbo the n/a motor or just better to do a turbo swap
 
it's better to do a swap, but you can turbo an n/a motor. it is a lot less headache just getting at least a complete motor and adding a FMIC or a turbo II hood (since the stock t II is top mounted)

looks like a great project. i definitely think that you will enjoy this better than the crx.
 
yeah i already have had some fun getting sideways the previous owner said he opened the butterflies in the intake and ported tb she runs very good.

First thing first.. TUNE UP

New NGK oem plugs
NEW NGK wires
New fuel filter
new air filter
change your oil
change trans oil
change dif fluid
change coolant and thermostat (use Nippon or OEM stat only)
check brakes (replace what is worn)
check tires and suspension

Now on to the fun stuff:
exhaust
TRUE cold air intake or cold air box
and suspension upgrades.

otherwise after that you get into internal porting or upgrading to forced induction.
