I Got A Job!

After three, almost four, months of being unemployed in Austin, I FINALLY found a job! With Tara being out of town, I can actually save money and get my car fixed and stuff! I'm SO excited!@#@$

Hours? I asked for a late shift and sure enough, 3pm to 12am. BEAUTIFUL!

I 've worked those hours since June. It definitely eliminates your social life during the week, but you do get lots of stuff done. I want to go days as soon as possible.

if 3p-12a kills the social life, what does 7p-5a do? that's what i'm on right now. it's the worst. my body doesn't know when to sleep. somehow i got the day off yesterday so i went o bed at 11....then woke up at 4am and have been up ever since. i hate night shifts.

I did nights for a year with Shaws supermarket.
I rather enjoyed it actualy.

Pallete jack raceing, cranking boom boxes ina grocery store. Throwing s*** at each other.

Yeah. I'm a night owl anyway seeing as how I worked at a club for two years and was an Explorer before that riding out with cops all night. I'll be working at Sears for their "online response team" (website orders). I've worked in a call center at Dell for a year and I know the times people call and when the "rush" is, so I opted to go later than the rush. Plus, it was the only schedule with 40+ hours a week. A lot of work but with that comes a lot of money.

congrats on the new job. I am to looking for a job. I will hopefully be getting my second interview with Mediacom for their Internet support dept. Second shift so hours would be 5pm-2am. which will work with my college. should make for long days but i gotta start making some money. and i would have full benfits and free broadband service.

You all can guess where the hell I am right now That's right! I'm at work at 1:08 A.M. I'm definitely a night owl now. If I started working days again, I would ******* loose my mind because I've been working nights since Sept. 1999. Wed-Sat 23:00-09:00 this is where I am.

I *should* be able to come. The project I was talking to OrangeMSP is apparently not going to happen, as he has not called me back in the last few days. I guess he traded his car in with all of the turbo work. I REALLY wish I could have gotten from him so we could continue the project but oh well.

Anyway, I have a training class on the 12th and another one Monday. I guess I could come down.

Just be careful about where you park yer car up there. Movie theatre parking lots are notorious here for all of the non-caring people dinging all the doors they can.
