After about 6 days with the CEL on, it mysteriously turned off. My friend said it could be bad gas that went through the system by it being run on low gas.
I'm not gonna take it into the dealer because I think it worked itself out. Is that a good idea? or should I take it in just in case
see if it comes back. also, a used dash hawk might be a good tool for you, so you can monitor things, log them, and also check/clear codes.
anyway, see if the code comes back. you were on the right track by saying that they'd have to prove a race pipe caused the issue, however, sometimes the dealers take advantage of being misinformed and try to void a warrantly.
i'll be honest, if something came up like that, i'd leave my race pipe in, but the type of dealers is directly correlated to how much BS you will have to navigate. i'd raise all hell if they tried to 'void' me because of something that has absolutely nothing to do with the second catalytic converter. you can bet the area rep, the BBB and several other contacts would get a ton of noise from my end.
