ok, the tire i have on there now is 205/45/16, wheel width is 7" and the car is lowered about 1" from stock height. i think i'll try the conti extreme contact dw's...they get rave reviews from most everyone. these will be my DD tires. i'll get some used rims for my track tires the parada specII's.

if you have the rolbar then you can use a harness for autocross only! That's what i do with the stock seats on my maita. They cannot be use for daily driving or any track event unless they are used with a performance replacement seat as phen mentioned. I have used some sort of harness for autox with three different cars, the p5, rx8 and now the mx-5. It does make an significant difference in keeping you planted even in a stock seat while autocrossing. Except maybe bruce, he drives too slow to make a difference, could probably leave the door open. (lol2)

ya, i did...only thing the rubber i want is on close out...which means i'm screwed later fi i blow one out....maybe yoko A022H0 215/45/16 so the height of the tire would be roughly 4"

Oh I know. Everyone is jumping on this, and that's cool and all... but I've never been one to jump on the bandwagon of something just because I'm getting a hand out. Is it a good deal? Sure. But I know I wouldn't be standing in line to spend $200 more on a set of tires vs. a comparable set just because I'm getting an $80 gift card.

All seasons? Why not go with a summer compound? I had the ContiSportContact2 on the MS6 for a while. Picked them up off CraigsList from a GTI owner who swapped them out for all seasons. They were nice...but I don't think I would have paid full price for them. They wore down pretty fast...but I guess that's typical of a max performance summer tire.

ya, i want strictly summer super sticky, QUIET, tire! wear is not a big deal because they all wear pretty fast...so i'm looking at yoko A022H0 215/45/16 YIKES, just realized there are on closeout too! wth thw heck?

Yeah, I've been happy overall with the DW as well. Almost pulled the trigger on some ExtremeWinterContacts last fall for winter use but got a great deal from a local tire shop for some Nokian's instead.

Mahk, any tire can be quiet, just pull the battery out of the hearing aid when you drive.

for sure! i'm gitty about get her back on the road...if it wasn" for the turbo, the p5 would be boring at this stage...snows, busted reay sway, leaking gas tank...you name it@
