I Feel Violated

So, just got my car broken into. Bad news and good news. Good news: no damage to the car itself.

Bad news: Alpine 9856 Head unit and face completely ripped out, (lukilly couldnt get my ipod adapter, too well hidden in there) 80$ worth of clostes in there. And of course my airsoft rifle worth between 250-350 once you count in wear and tear. (350 new w/ 120 in upgrades) and aabout a dozen cd's in my car (yes i know, i have Ipod, most were mixes of stuff)

lukilly, i had my camera, phone, ipod, on me at the time of being jacked.

got some beautiful pics of where they slim jim'ed my drivers door. Basically i got gayed.

So, those of you wanting to buy a Pro5, It obviously attracts attention (first)

I just try to make it look like there is nothing of value. I have had a couple cars broken into. When I had my vw bus back in the day, I was lucky to find out when I removed the pull-out radio, the factoryone slid right in perfectly. It was so stealth. But then I had a 5 lb brick to haul around. So it was often placed under the seat where nobody would find it. Luckily, I caught them in the process of stealing the entire system, nothing lost.

I laugh when I see those sunvisor CD holders. 20+ Cds can be taken in 5 seconds. Now I burn the CDs, keep the original at home, burnt copy in the car. I also have the factory stereo which is lame.

Hopefully you got insurance on the stuff stolen, and it can be replaced.

sorry man....that face plate is detachable correct? ya, i try and hide take everything out of the car when i leave it...make it look as undesireable as possible. will insurance help you?

that sucks......this happened to me in dec 03; in my driveway! was a little punk down the street. my neighbor caught them at 3AM and scarred him away. all he got was my remote for my alpine.......i got a nice viper alarm/started installed after this!

the place where i got my alpine gave me another remote at no cost; Thanks Rayco in Shrewsbury, MA.

That really sucks, They tried to get mine in my driveway last year to. But all they got was the trunk lock out. Alarm never went off. I hate stupid people.
