I F!@#ing Hate Insurance Companies

What insurance company you have I deal with state farm and I got quoted close to what ur paying. Roughly 146 a month with 100 comp and 250 collison.

I switched from GEICO for exactly the same reason, no tickets-just added a new car and moved to California (even though its illegal to charge someone based soley on their zipcode of residence). I shopped around and found another independent carrier that doesn't have "cute" commercials. I encourage you to do the same.

Cheers

Matthew

except when you get good rates...

im paying under 100 bucks a month for my ms3 and $10 a month for my bike through nationwide...

i went to a local insurance agent that represented many different companies and they doubled my coverages (i had just state minimums before) and lowered my deductable and i saved 200$ every 6 months over geico which when i got them 1 year before i switched was 65$ cheaper for 6 months over progressive. i only have 1 speeding ticket on my record... i pay 72$ a month for that coverage on my reg3... (reason its that high is due to a 70 mile round trip commute) i highly suggest seeing what a local brick and mortar place can do for you.

Get quotes for the low deductible and for a $500.00 deductible. You'll probably find that over a couple of years maximum you'll pay the $500 to the insurance company anyway. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not in the habit of causing accidents, so I don't need a low deductible. The only problem I have with that is that in North Carolina, with all the road work being done, you can't get separate glass coverage with low/no deductible. At least not according to my current agent. I'm going to ask around.

it all depends on your age, location, history and driving age. It also depends on the repair costs for the car ( though the price of this car is so low, that shouldn't make it anymore expensive than any other 25K car)
also, safety devices, theft rate in your area, and factors that have nothing to do with you such as other idiots and their driving record because then you become a "statistical probability"

I have no problem with Insurance companies. They provide a service and a safety net.
The biggest problem I have with them is how they always try to weasel out of paying what is due. Tough s*** I say to them, You took the risk and now you lost. Pay up!

2002 Lancer = 110/month After I traded that in and got the MS3 it went to 120/month. That is with a clean record through state farm. I carry a $0 deductable and very high coverage.

Yeah my 6 month premium went up only $90 when I traded my 2004 Toyota Matrix XR (120hp) with 75k miles. Not too bad, especially for Jersey. Though I am 30 y/o and a home owner.

PS This was Progressive.

I only have a Mazda3 GT and I pay about $100/month with a $500 deductible, which is waived when I am not at fault and I have 100% glass breakage coverage. Zero tickets, zero at-fault accidents on my record. I am 28.

It absolutely is not illegal to charge more for insurance based upon where you live, as that determines theft rate. My premium increased slightly upon moving from right downtown to one freeway exit away. Go figure.

By the way, Geico is dog sh--. Go with a company that has actual agents.

I got USAA, but they only work with military members. My monthly payment for two cars is $68 and that includes renters insurance and roadside assistance.

(hear ya)(cool)(nana) Im with USAA as well... Would go with no other company even if they were cheaper ( which they aren't anyways)

I was quoted $631/yr for the MS3 through Amica. I'm 41 with no accidents or tickets (that they know about!) and three cars insured under them. Deductible of $500.

why are you guts not happy i would love to pay what any of you pay, i pay 400 a month for insurance im 22 with no points

A couple of weeks ago I was told my premium to renew my policy with Geico was going to be $645 for six months with $50 comprehensive and $100 collision deductibles. Today I called to add my wifes 06 F-150 4-door 4X4 truck to the policy and they told me my premium on the MS3 had gone up to $901. What really pisses me off is that it will only be $314 dollars to add the truck with the same coverages. I have never even been in an accident or received a ticket ever. When I called and asked why the premium went up, they said because of the cost of repairing the car, and a few other B.S. excuses. I am so pissed right now I don't even want to drive my car.

Yep GEICO did the same thing to me !!!!!! . Thought I was slick getting low insurance rates on this car at first them BAM !!!! (help)

Apparently the same thing happened to the srt4 guys too when they came out...
