so I spent two days putting on a j-pipe, boost gauge and wide band. car flies now. took the wife for a ride sat night. she was cold. window would not go up. I was not happy. today i tore the dash all apart. saw no wires it could be. asked wife to help push button while i wiggle wires. nothing. look at driver side buttons back windows don't work. looked at lock button. "is the lock on?" car in pieces, wife goes you dumbass all that and you had the lock on. well now i am real good at taking the dash apart. i am an idiot!!!!

LOL that sounds like something I would have done. (rockon)

+1

Don't feel bad, shawn! I shut of my cruise control switch once and thought the CC was broken when it wouldn't turn on. I tore through all my lines looking for loose hoses, etc...

This reminds me when I had the car in the shop... I got it back and the dash lights seemed reall dim. I spent forever trying to figure out what the hell happened! I was on my way back to the shop to b**** that they messed something up and realized... there is a dimmer button next to the speedometer cluster. What an ass!

My mom did this last week. Called me wondering why her gauge lights were so dim and thought a fuse was going, or her gauges were bad. I told her where the fuses were and then asked her, did you check the dimmer switch??? .........the what?!? lol

i get these phone calls all the time doing the job that i do. my fav is "i'm parked on a hill and i cant get my key to turn"... my response "with your left hand pull steering wheel to right and at the same time with your right hand turn the key." "oh wow! that worked! thanks!" problem is if i dont spell it out like that some people just don't get it....

I got a call froma co-worker one morning, saying she could not turn the key, so she needed a ride. She thought something was broken. I said what you said, and she's like......"Ohhhh........Thanks!!!!!" LOL!

exactly how i felt. i walked away for a bit before i put it back together. had to put the wires back in better anyway. i just figured the worst since nothing went well on the project. broken studs, j-pipe not fitting over the new studs, o2s wires tight to the floor, gauges not working on the first try, s-pipe to j-pipe leaking but it was all worth it cause now the car moves like it should have stock. i can't believe how much of a difference that j-pipe made.
