Well, HIN was interesting to say the least. It was damn hot, that's for sure!
Tons of nice cars there. 602, to be exact. Only problem with this was that there were only like 12 judges for the whole thing. Roy, Alex(gato9lives), and I did the whole outside grass area. I did about 50 cars myself, I'm guessing. On my feet from 2-11:30pm with only 20 mins for dinner. Kinda weak. And the only free s*** I got was some blunt wraps ((stoned)), a t-shirt from Stoner tire care products (again, (stoned)), and a few shots of Hypnotiq in the VIP room(Good lookin', Alex!). I probably could have used my Staff wristband for more, but just didn't have time.
What I did like, however, was that it was good learning experience for me. I've only really been hardcore into cars for a couple years now, so I don't know everything. But it was cool to walk up to an owner and ask them to take me through all they had done to their car. They loved showing it off to a judge! It was as much a fun thing for me as an educational experience. So while it was tedious, I wrote it off as a learning experience. I know alot more about a alot more cars then just Mazda's now.
Nate, I heard about your situation about 20 minutes after the fact. I was gonna call, but I figured by that time you were long gone. Both me and Roy were considering leaving after I heard what happened. F'ed up, man.
Andrew, glad to hear you had fun in Stockton. To tell you the truth, I flaked hard on you for Sunday, but I'm reading that you didn't go, so I feel a little better about it. Guess I could have called. But flaked for a good reason. I might have mentioned a blind date I had last Thurs? It went better then I thought it would, and I went to meet her again at a club in Fremont after HIN. One thing led to another, and I ended up staying the night. I didn't even get out of bed until 1pm yesterday. (thumb) Hope you understand, Andrew. Sounds like you had a good Sat. too.
OK, I've spent enough time writing this. Work calls. Later.
