Hwy 9 Fun Run!

I got there late, so Chris (the "guy") was out of walkie talkies. He told me to find someone with a walkie talkie and stick with them. So I followed Roy around. It was 90 degrees out and we were standing around doing nothing, so I decided to go out to my car for a root-beer. Roy gave me the slip, and the meathead at the gate wouldn't let me back in. He didn't believe that I was there to help because I didn't have a walkie talkie(or enough cheap cologne, apparently). I stood around wondering WTF I should do for about 5 minutes, then got pissed-off and left. As I was starting my car, Roy reappeared with the magic walkie talkie, but by then I was insulted, pissed-off, hot, and over the whole ordeal. I thought they needed help, but they were so disorganized and ******* rude that I'll never offer to help again.
I shoulda hooked up with Andrew at the scca race. He's probably having a blast right now.

On another, somewhat related note:
Gauging Interest: My JICs and Volks. You guys know what I paid, all I want is my money back, and that's a good deal for either of these.
Let me know if you're interested and serious, because I am.

After seeing the Krispy Kreme link, I think that we should meet at KK for our next meet. I'll pay for the donuts cause thats no problem. Anyone else want to meet at KK for our next meet ??

what's going on natey?? why are you selling? ... and how much? just wondering.

*edit.. porshe (2thumbs)

JIC FLTA2: 900 bucks plus all your stock suspension. This is what I paid.
Volk LE37T: 1200 bucks without tires, 1550 with. I paid 2gs for the rims and tires

If you can give me a good deal, I would consider it. I am still planning to get wheels for my car by June or July. Right now I have about $200 saved up so by that time, that is if i dont spend it, I might have enough money to get some decent wheels.

I think hwy9 is only dangerous because the road there is broken as hell.. lots of potholes and stuff. I run 35+84 more often now. :p

And thanks for the compliment. If you like, we can take pics of your p5 and my Lude together. :)

sounds good! I'll hit you up when I get bak in the city.. hopefully I can fix my dent first... at least I got blacked out headlights in :)

1200 for the rims (omg) ... ...... (omg) you could seriously get more than that for those beauties.. especially cause you keep them lookin good.... just read your posts about HIN.. that's pretty shady.

SCCA Solo was a lot of fun guys. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. I felt totally welcome. I really wish you all were there as I was the only protege. A lot of cool cars were there as well. JDM Conversion silvia's, one of which I stomped on(48 sec/ lap). There were a lot of good looking miata's there and a couple RX7's. Too many cars to remark on individually but I will say that it was primarily corvettes of all generations running today. I took a ton of pictures and I should have those up later I hope.

So how well did I do? My first run was in the high 43's and my last of the day before I left was about 41.929 which unfortunatly was just a fun run. I'll post all my timeslips next time I'm on. The corvettes were running 39-34 sec so I don't think I did too bad for my first day. I will say this though, I like my prada's but I definietly need something more stick. I also need to put in my rear motor mount in a bad way. Under acceleration I got a whole bunch of drivetrain lash that made power delivery quite inconsistent.

My competition to beat next time

Sentra Spec V's these fuckers had no clue how to drive and all the safety crew on the track were laughing at them. These dumb asses were trying to use the e brake to drift around the turns which didn't work at all. They figured that out on their 3rd and 4th runs and dropped their time by a couple secs. final times around 41

Old hondas these things are beaters but the have azenis rubber and 15" rota's so these own times around 40 sec

VW R32 I was killing this guy at the beginning of the day since he was new to FF but he got used to it and was running 40's by the end of the day

I am damn tired today thanks to an unexpected booty call which wans't exactly cunducive to getting a good nights rest and it was hot out there so I won't be going tommorrow

Info: SCCA membership 25.00 for one year so I am now a member because it helped me save 10.00 on today's comp and I know for sure I will be more than making up for the cost of membership because I will definitely be going again. Afte rthe comp fun runs=1 lap cost 1$. I took advantage of four of them and had great improvement during these. by the end of the day I was orders of magnitude better than the morning and of course it was a total rush. BTW Genies Weenies= teh best food for autocross

Nate...

Seriously Tempted to take those JIC off your hands... But I don't have a stock suspension that would work for you (in terms of it just being a regular P5 suspension)

Bummed your getting rid of these though, your car is so pimp!

So does that mean I need to save up more money for the wheels since you used them for the autocross ??
Huh? that doesn't make sense. If I gave you tires that are worn I would be more than happy to supplement you with a little cash to help you get new tires faster

Yeah since you used them for the autocross that means that I need to save up more money for tires when they are wore out. How bad are they going to be when I decide to buy them from you ?
