Hwy 9 Fun Run!

That was fun tonight guys :D good run and good times hanging out :) I finally finished my stuff for tomororw so I can now go to sleep....

Well, we didnt flip a protege tonight, but poor natey stubbed his toe, thats almost as bad.(smoke) (stoned) (rockon)

It's kind of funny, after flipping 3 proteges in the santa cruz mountain range, the worst injury inflicted was not by a flipped car, but a stubbed toe.

So like, I say it would be a good idea if we schedule weekly Meets @ KK every thursday night @ 7:30, Wednesday is too in the middle to be a good night for everyone, thursday is better because the next day is friday, so most people either have late school or no school or some other s*** that requires less effort than a wednesday night meet.

So is anyone going for a drive tonight...afternoon?? I might make it...trying to get new tires first. Too many 9 runs, my front tires are wasted at 6500 miles. Driving a little hard...but hell we have fun. ANy of you all have any personal favorites?? My other car was a truck so I'm new to the high performance options

I just put Yokohama Parada Spec2's on my P5 today. I can't really tell you how they handle 'cause I just got home from the tire store, but they sure LOOK sweet! (rockon)

Nah, those are some of the install pics from BlueMP5Dave. I just felt like a change with my sig. :p

I would have gotten one with the new tires, I'm down to uproot some trees tonight if anyone wants to go hang out up there @ the 9 vista point.

Oh yea, Aura Borealis will be making a feature tonight in the northern sky. I have personally witnessed them before and will have to see that it is not a sight to be missed.

Well I got some new tires yesterday--Went with the Kumho Supra 712's. Went for a little drive up Bear creek, and I like the so far. They looses a little grip to the Bridgstone ro4o's that came stock, but they should last a little longer.

Anyway I'm ready to go hit up the mountains again.

A '73 2.0 is the best of the 4 cylinder 914s. In '74, they got heavier with adjustable seats, an actual heater that defrosted the windshield and A/C. In '75, emissions and other American laws(5MPH bumper, etc) kinda took away from the charm...and definately took away from the power to weight ratio :(. Still, right up to '76 when Porsche quit making them, they were one of the best balanced cars out there. People are still competitive in road racing with 914s

Buy that thing and school us in the Miatas, Jimmy! (rockon)

Hehe, I think he's planning to school us in a WRX.

That will be interesting. I wonder how those things would fare on Page Mill :)

Your sig is scary and funny at the same time, Ya :D

...What was up with the thunderstorm last night? It poured for about 2 hours around 3am. Careful on those wet roads, kids!

There was a storm?

Hehe that's why it was kinda wet this morning. I was completely oblivious to the storm :)

I had a crazy dream about Miata drifting in rain though... :D

Ever taken a turn completely sideways?
No, not like drifters do. Imagine the car entering the turn and then the back end whips out, driver corrects, but the car is facing perpendicular to the road and still going full speed. :D
