Hwy 9 Fun Run!

Wednesday and Thursday nights are the best times for me. Friday nights and Tuesday nights are gonna be out pretty much every week.

And someday we'll have to get together on the weekend and do that barbeque.

So turns out that Thursday this week is out for me. Mom's birthday.

I'm down for something this Thursday, you know me!

I'm a litle upset today. I got to work and realized that my fogs weren't on. Last night they were fine, this moring, nada! Now I have to crawl under the dash again. DAMMIT!

What??? I better go check mine! Hopefully your spade connectors just came unplugged.

Well s***! I took a break and went to check it out.
Pulled the cover off and made sure the connectors were still connected good...Check.
Made sure the live wire had not gotten loose and shorted something...Check.
Felt the relay to make sure I could feel the click of it working...s***! The relay is not working! No click! DAMMIT!

I guess I have buy a new relay. The only problem I can see is cutting all the wires from the old relay and putting new spade connectors on them.

I am so pissed right now...

Man That Sucks, Foggy!!!! I wonder what happend. I haven't had any problems with mine yet, fingers crossed. Have any of you guys seen reports of a relay going bad after doing this mod? I can't recall seeing that.

A search turned up nothing.

DAMMIT! This ruins my day!

Now, I need to find the part number, and try to get one from my dealer without them asking what happened and why I'm not bringing it in for this...

Did you wrap all of your spade connections with electrical tape? I wonder if the exposed wire on any of the spade connectors came out and made contact with something it shouldn't have?

And all wires are still connected up at the fog light switch end? I could see one of those popping out and that would break the connection to the relay and that would make the relay stop clicking.

As far as I can tell, yes to both questions. Granted, this was a 5 min. job, seeing as I'm at work and all. I will get under the dash after work to check everything out.

Man that sucks.

My fogs have been doing just fine. I find it hard to believe that the relay has burnt out. Unless you overvolted it or something shorted really badly, which should not have been the case.

To state the obvious: check the wiring.

I find it hard to believe too. I'll keep you guys updated. I'll post my results later tonight.

damn. I'm gonna go out and get under there and electrical-tape the crap out of everything.

If my guess is right, then it's the mod where your fog light will always be on when you turn on your headlight. For stock, if you only turn one notch of headlight, the fog light doesn't come on, fog light usually come on when you turn ALL the way where the headlight is on. Though, with the fog light mod, you can have your fog light on even with one notch turn.

Thats exactly it, man. If you ever get out to one of our runs, we can take care of ya in 20 minutes.

But I fixed it! One of the spade connectors came a little loose. Took me all of 10 miutes to remedy. thanks for the help though, Nate!
