Hwy 9 Fun Run!

Months and months into my engine build... he he...

Such is the car modding life... never fear, it will all turn out for the best :)

You'll be back to tearing up those roads in no time.

Yeah, YAY! Look how stoked I am! I spent 2500 bucks for the biggest, headache ever!
This is NOT the car modding life. The car modding life is when you put money into your car to make it better and faster, not to make it sit in some god damned mechanic's shop. My car won't start, and no one knows why. You're car is sitting because you're waiting for a certain airfilter.

Sorry for being eggy, but this is getting out of hand. I didn't rebuild the bottom end of my car like you, Jared. My car didn't start one morning, so I tried to fix it. Two frustrating weeks later, I took it to the mechanic. That was over a week ago, and he(a Miata specialist since the early '90s) still can't figure out what the problem is. He's been getting the runaround from VF(the makers of the s/c kit), and wasting my money on dead end leads.
So far my crank position sensor and cam angle sensor (among other things) have been replaced with new, expensive OEM parts...and neither one of my original ones was bad.

Yeah, I understand your frustration :(

But it's been a hell of a lot more than an airfilter for me. Get car running, fuel line develops a leak, order fuel rail and line, gets here, install it, defect with fuel rail, now must wait for replacement fuel raill. Then there is the whole cracked manifold, oil leak, cracked cv boot and all those other lovely things.

Sorry it didn't work out for you bro. Just trying to provide some encouragment. I would be super frustrated if I was in your position too.

nate, are you trying to take it back to stock or still trying to make the sc work? a lot of times you can fix something by taking it back to stock and start from there by checking everything out....my friend couldn't figure out a wiring problem fro a month, was about to buy a new harness, but took it back to stock and found the couple of trouble wires instead...anyway, just a suggestion
