Hwy 9 Fun Run!

So, if I was to HiBoost my P5, would that make it un-smoggable or would the Haltech take care of that? If it doesn't pass, does anyone know a smog tech that will hook me up?
I have some dough, but I'm a little worried about this s***.

Me neither, and that's what makes me nervous. I don't wanna dump 4g's into my car just to make it un driveable...
Maybe I'll look a little more closely at S/Cing Julie's 'Yata.

Nate,

The HiBoost kit for the P5 is not "Carb Exempt" The only CARB certified kit for the P5 is the now defunct FM kit and a Mazdaspeed OEM kit. Now, that does not mean the HiBoost kit won't pass smog if you hook it up to the machine, in fact, thanks to haltech the possibilities are hight that it would pass smog, you just need a tech that will overlook the very obvious turbo kit and test the car.

As for an actual kit, You can't go wrong with HiBoost or Mental Addiction. The new MAMotorsports Street Sleeper kit looks very nice.

yeah, gotta pass the visual inspection first....and i don't think they bug you with newly purchased cars for like five years, then its like every couple of years afterwards

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just slap a header in there. It'll be easy to take out come smog day.
Bummer, though.

I'm in the same boat, Nate. I'm tempted to register my car at my friend's address in Sonora, to get by this.

Natey, I am interested in taking the subs off of your hands. I dont really have $300 on hand right now, but could be possibly work something out?

Edit: ****, I have a HUGE crack in my left front rotor. I can feel it in the pedal when I am braking.
