Hwy 9 Fun Run!

So I never asked if anyone was going but I decided to go on a whim to the GP of Sonoma. Pretty cool but not as good as last year although there were more in attendance this year. Here are just a couple of the pictures I took. I wasn't really in the mood to take a whole bunch this year. My friends and I rolled two fat splif and the day was good. First off the Murciellago. I cannot post what this thing sounded like but it was for sure the most wonderful sounding car I have ever heard. Ferrari's sound like rice rockets compared to this thing. I was sitting at turn two so I could hear it shoot out of the turn and upshift just before turn three. It could best be characterised as an F1 car with the volume turned down. I just loved the sound when it shifted

Oh and this ******* clown I snapped a picture of on the way out. Could you fall more into the stereotypical rice rocket?

if you wanna do some daytime run and grab lunch in boulder creek or something it could happen friday, other than that I got schoo in the morning, then 1 job right after that, and then a 2nd job after that (for at least another 2 weeks or so) so by the time I get done I'm pretty fatigued and don't really feel like driving

Bummer. Well, if anyone else wants to cruise up there, you know my cell number. I might drive up to the summit for a lil' solo mission. I had an eggy day and I wanna (stoned) and hit some curves.

hey natey I might be down to drive after all, had a long day, why not, now just pick up yuor cell (hand)

just out of curiosity, when you guys go for drives how long (time/distance) are they and when do you get home. I have to wake up for work at 5AM so i cant be out too late, falling asleep in your cubicle = BAD (although other people seem to do it...)
Any route suggestions? How bad is traffic on 9 and 236 in the early evening like 6 or 7? i hope its empty enough to have some fun. Have you guys ever run into chp while on a fun run? How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

<<<<<<< check the new avitar!

Between 6 and 7 is possibly one of the worst times to go on a fun run, we go more like after 10pm since that's when the roads start clearing out and they get REALLY empty after midnight. I personally have never seen pork up there during the night. Our fun runs are anywhere from 30-40 miles to 100+ miles depending on how long we wanna be driving and the time of night. so between 1-1.5hrs up to 3-4 hrs.

6-7pm = bad

who wants leisure when they drive a protege with 300zx behind them?
Ive never heard of stage road or tunitas creek, would you mind laying out a few more specifics for the route?

I'll meet up with you and go for a cruise, rubix. There's a couple of roads that shouldn't be too bad. Tunitas is a good call, or maybe the top part of Alpine.
Just let me know when you plan on going up there and we can hook up. (rockon)
