Hwy 9 Fun Run!

So if any of you guys with a protege decides you want to change your rear motor mount, I am like an expert at it now. It's not nearly as hard as everyone says :)

Soon, I'll have the parts in and be able to drive my car again. But with this weather and one radiator fan, no fun. It's okay, I have taken this oppurtunity to really clean some things up under the hood, like moving my HID ballasts under the bumper and hiding all the wiring in the front bumper, etc...

where was the ideal place to mount the hid ballasts under the bumper? i have been meaning to do this but just lag..

I'll take pictures before I put the bumper back on, but it's in the same place the yp5 toronto mounted his. He posted pictures up here somewhere...

this looks very interesting. from what i've heard, the gains are significant
woot for wagner

well basically its just a stainless steel shorty header that plugs directly into the precat. the design is much more efficent than the stock exhaust manifold.wagner says it shows gains of 5-10 whp and does not cause the car to get excessivley loud. normal price for it is about 285.

hey i could use 5-10 hp...i was actually stuck between the essential speed shorty header (http://essentialspeed.com/shop/detail.asp?product_id=EsP5eq) and wagners but now i've decided on wagners....it will be emissions legal, since it has the o2 sensor bung and does not eliminate any cats, and thus no CEL light....but i don't think they've gone through the process of getting official carb exemption...so you won't have a stamped number to point to if smog or cops ask

Good luck getting either one of those to send you something in four months or less.:( My personal experience with Essentialspeed was an ugly, long one, and the Wagner GB for those headers Roy has pictured took about 3 months. I was originaly in on that GB, but after a month or so of waiting(and Wagner not even starting work on them), I asked for my money back.

If you see a used one and don't care about CARB(they have a visual inspection as well as a sniffer test), buy it! Those are da kine!
