i wish i was more help to you man.
good luckk

That, my friends, is the real question: Where the hell did all my oil go? No smoke? No leak? No residue? W...T...F?

I'm gonna hit the sack. Thanks for the help, guys. Ya, I'll probably call you tomorrow. (drinks)

Yep. Thanks, John. :)

Mark, Jimmy didn't notice any smell until after i asked him if he smelled anything, so it must not have been that strong. I never smelled anything at all, even now.(dunno)

man, that sounds not good, i would have to see it to really try to come up with a better idea of what is wrong, but it sounds like a warrenty issue to me... $$$

It wasn't a blown headgasket either, the car never overheated and there was nothing leaking anywhere not even a single drop or a little bit of steam.

yea, what i was thinking is the exhaust valve seals leaked OR the piston rings leaked, that means that when you decel/accel it pulls/pushes oil from the valvecover/crankcase into the combustion chamber and burns it, no drips, no visable leaks, could eat up oil really fast if you drove for very long, but would smoke like a mofo and smell really bad. i doubt it has something to do with the valve cover or even the head at all.

Nate, that sucks, brother. I hope everything comes out OK. Thats weird that there is no smoke or oil anywhere. Incidentely, with all the driving you do, I figured that you would have way more miles then me. But I guess I got ya beat. 39,000 in 1.5 years! :D

Me? I'm going through my own little private hell. Guess who got a fat hole in their tire last night? Anyone? Anyone? Me, thats who. So that's 2 tires done in a week. Can you believe the ****** luck?! I really need Rishie to get back into his shop and get me my rims. We were talking about getting ADR's, but we would have to order them. At this point, I'm ready to bite the bullet, wind up the credit card, and purchase some Volks if he has them in stock just to be done with these problems. So, in relation to this, Roy, you have a PM.

BTW, Roy, you are the devil. Trying to benefit from others misfortune. You are a bad man.

In no way related to this, Jimmy, you have a PM too.

If you bought the volks you'd never have to worry about wheels again. Me? I will never have to worry about suspension or exhaust again. It seems to be working out for me. Just spend a s*** load once recoop and be over with it to start on a new project

Thats what I am thinking. Better to just get it over with and suck it up.

We'll see...

I put my old valve cover back on, no problems. I figure if they DO cover it and flow me a new motor they can have my old, ugly V/C. ;) Now if I can figure out this stock intake system, I'll be ready to go to the dealer.

Haha I don't think I could put on my stock intake if my life depended on it. I haven't had it on the car since a month after I got the damn thing

I pretty much have it figured out, but I'm missing a few nuts, bolts and brackets. Does anyone have the thing that the IAT used to be attached to? It looks kind of like an ant trap...It's the brass colored "tongue" about 2.5-3 inches long that holds the IAT onto the stock intake. I guess I misplaced mine.
Also, the two bolts that hold the MAF onto the stock intake... they're two short(maybe 1/2 inch?), brass colored bolts, about 10mm. If I can get my hands on these couple of little items (come to think of it, I can probably find the bolts at Orchard Supply) I'm in business.(strike)

:wtf: (p5silver) :wtf:

I would be able to help you, but all my bolts from my stock piping are in use on my car now :'(

I should have it all. I threw everything into my injen box when I finished up.
won't be able to check until I get home tonight though.
