Hwy 9 Fun Run!

Hey guys I was in the shop today just going to town on my header still. It's been a while since I picked up a MIG welder so the welds don't look that great but their strong as hell. I ground them down though so after I paint it with ceramic paint they should look good but here is what my final product looks like. On the top is a section of my cat back exhaust system that was cut out when the resonator was added. Middle is the cat section I made, I hope it fits because I never checked first, but it is in the position where the stock cat was. I still have to add an O2 bung to it so I can put my sensor there and not throw a CEL. Bottom is of course the test pipe the header came with. I really wish I could make it down there. You guys have all the fun, and I like KK. I won't make it down this weekend either since I have midterms next week and driving home at 3:00am is not my idea of fun.

Too bad I missed this. I was living in San Jose when you had the Hwy 9 Fun Run! Arg :(

I didn't want to read through 252 pages of posts, so is there going to be another one around April 3rd? My FS powered Probe will be turbo'd and i'll be in San Jose for a vacation visiting friends from my home town.

Welcome to the club, NoahFex!

There most likely will be a meet around the beginning of April. We've been meeting about once a week for over a year now. :)

Post here when you're around the Bay area, and we'll all hook up for a Hwy 9 mission! (drinks)

Yay!(yippy) I love Vise-Grips! Those things saved me a lot of dremmeling and swearing. My SS brake lines are finally in. :)

See you tonight Minh, and sorry 'bout the spelling.

Which brand did you use? Did you have trouble fitting the little metal things into the clip holders? Is that what the vice-grips were for? I had to dremel out the holders slightly, because the metal thingies were just slightly too large on my SS lines.

I stripped the head of last bolt on the hardline, but I was able to clamp down on it with the Vise-Grips and get that sucker off of there. The clips were kind of a b****, but I gave them a little love with a rubber mallet and they snapped back in. :)
