So, I have news by way of JRP in Mississauga, Ontario, of a new coilover that will be headed in the way of the Mazda 2. I will most likely be a Test Mule for HSD Coilovers Canada for our 2. With what basic, and quick info that I have on the suspension, I will share what I was told.

Spring rates will be told to me in 2-3 weeks time, strut design are Monotubes, with a possible inverted shock design. Camber plates are a possibility, pillow ball mounts will most likely come standard. MSRP is around $1350, with an initial group buy option with lower pricing. Everything is made in house at HSD's manufacturing facilities.. nothing is re-branded/re-badged/re-coloured and sold. 15-way adjustment damping.

Now it's not much, but it's all that I know. As soon as I get more details, I will share with everyone. From my initial knowledge, and observations, these can be a very good, high quality coilover option for our car.

I love hearing about this, because it's good to know our aftermarket is expanding!

Just so everyone know's, this is more an info post, I'm not personally selling these.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I'll answer if I know, or I can forward on to Shaun Myers of JRP.

Haha yeah I did.. If I get the opportunity to try these out, I'm definitely gonna give it a go. Being the first with them would be very cool, and I'm really interested in suspension. And yes, once I know more info, everyone else will know too.

Btw, my K-Sports will be for sale soon for a good price ;)

This is awesome because you will be one of the few who can actually compare different coilover setups on the same car.. the review will be very informative.

Again, not to push STD, but the STD R3 HAVE camber plates and are priced in the same range as HSD's.

And nothing is rebadged there either. You have 3 models to choose from: R1, R3, R7TA, and each have the possibility to be custom rated/valved.
