How well does a VIS EVO Hood fit on MSP?

I'm about to buy a VIS CF hood, but interested in finding out how well it fits on the MPS. Does it fit as well as the OEM, and what are the negative sides to it? Would it help to paint it as far as the appearance goes, to keep it form fading and any wear? Thanks.

some ppl had nice fits, some others had bad experiences... (ie., me) my gaps are about half an inch, roughly almost double the stock gaps around the sides for the hood... i had bubbles too when i first got them, and still do. VIS gave me the run around for any warrenty-related issues. I gave up. If your serious about keeping it, it does look nice, just the fitment upsets me a bit, along w/ the bubbles. Take it off during snow season to reduce chances of your clear gel coat cracking.

gl! I would go w/ a diff brand but like i said, some others have it and i know they are happy with it; im just not :)

Well, I almost bought one on Ebay, I guess I should have gotten it anyway but I didn't.. ended today and highest bid was $275

I had a VIS OEM carbon on a 1996 Civic coupe for a long time. Aside from a few small chips...it never yellowed and the fit was perfect. I took the old hood off, put it on, done....

i had a vis hood on my altima and fitment was PERFECT. no gaps, never turned yellow, nothing. my vis hood on my p5 has some fitment issues. it doesnt wanna sit flat, it has like a warp to it on the drivers headlight. its starting to yellow a lil. but is parked outside, no garage. my other one was garage kept. but the weave and clear coat (besides the slight yellowing) is good. its light, i used hood pins, i do alot for highwa driving. it does flex alot at speeds above 45.

edit: look in my sig at the hood fitment at the top of the grill. the gap is smaller at the passenger side it gets gradually larger by the drivers headlight. thats the warping i was refering to

Im the 3rd owner of this hood and I paid 150 bucks for it. The clear coat did fade away and turned yellowish, but I was able to have a friend re-clear coat it and it looks brand new. Fitment is perfect also... I had no issues with that. See my sig for pics.

i have had 2 vis hoods. the first one had a bad scratch in it when i got it. the second one was perfect. i have not had any problems with my hood or trunk turning yellow. just my opinion.

I've had good luck with mine. Took stock one off and put this one on and thats it. I've driven with it for nearly 2 years now and have some chips. Not yellowing but there are some bubbles. Overall I'm happy wth it.

I have had my VIS hood for about 2 years . Since I bought it I have had nothing but problems . First it faded and turned yellow, and then it began to crack in about 6 places . Im very disapointed in this product
