how to wire the Power Door Lock switch?

in fact, my car already has an existing central door lock system it does not only have the POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH (this is the switch when you press lock all the doors will lock at the same time and when the unlock is pressed, all the doors will unlock.) I also don't have the wiring diagram. Can anyone here post that page?

so what you are wanting to do is add a electric switch on EACH door? is that correct? so that everyone can individually operate their door lock electrically? and not just the driver? is that what you are saying and wanting to do?

I think you didn't got me right, my car does not come with a power door lock switch on the dirver's door, and I want to have one on my driver's door. So I don't need to pull the knob to unlock and push to lock the door locks. If I have the switch I'll just press lock and all the doors will lock and unlock when I pressed unlock. I know the POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH can be bought at MAZDA, and I plan to install it by myself when I got the infos on how to do it.

although not imposible to do....from what I understand you will end up having to run wires to ALL the doors to intigrate a switch of that kind into the system.....and its NOT an easy chore doing that....a lot of guys have ATTEMPTE to run new speaker wires through the stock location and have failed.....not sure about a wireing diagram......but I am sure this should be available from SOMEWHERE....you probably need to start with the diagram for your car now...and work form there.

from what you are telling me you have electric door locks...but NO switches...and to actuate them you have to physically move the lock button to lock and unlock the lock....then how are they electric ???? buddy...you got me lost as a goose in the woods....
IF you do in fact have electric locks such that if you unlock one door they all unlock by pushing or pulling the lock button....all you actually need to do is get a solinoid for a door lock mechanism that through a linkage you can connect to the current locking mechanism inside your door.....then wire a power sourch to it through a switch you mount to your door...or your console or where ever you want it....then when you actuate that ONE solinoid and unlock that ONE door through this means...it will be the same as you pushing or pulling that one door lock with your fingers and the rest of them will lock or unlock....

Ok, My car is a Ford LYNX 2002, which is a rebadge mazda protege. My car is the GHIA model which is the highest end of the ford lynx here in the Philippines. It has central door lock, but it has no switch. I think I can tap the switch to the wiring of the keyless entry, but problem is I don't know which color shall I tap it.

the diagram of the US Protege will be of great help, since I can do what the diagram says. so I don't need to trace the wire one by one. In fact, the Ford Lynx is also the Mazda Protege, only the the exterior was slightly modified.
If I am not mistaken only the US marketed Protege has the power door lock switch. not even those units marketed in taiwan and thailand has the power door lock switch. So what I am going to do is to follow what the US diagram says. So my wiring will be same as the original ones, and to be sure.

First of all I understand what you're trying to do. You only have 3 doorlock motors in your car. The switch is located on the rod on the driver's door. Most older Nissans have the same setup. You will need a couple of relays and an additional door lock motor to accommplish what you want to do. You don't necessarily have to use the factory switch. A momentary SPDT rocker switch will work fine. You do not have to run wires from any of the other doors, just into the driver's door. Install the door lock motor into the driver's door so basically, it moves the rod up and down to make the other doors lock. Now all you have to do is wire the relays to the switch and you're all set. It seems like a lot of work since all you really have to do is just lock the driver's door.

I know what you are talking about jhtl, my old Honda Passport had the same thing (central locking system, but no lock/unlock button for all doors). Unfortunately I don't know how you could incorporate the switch into the system, but it should be possible with a diagram and tapping the swithc into the central unit that controls the locks. Good luck, maybe see if you can find a diagram from the same maker of your car that has that button already installed.
