Hey Guys,

I just finished putting in my Euro 626 Wiper Stalk that I got from CorkSport. I now have intermittent wipers in my Sedan :D

Here is the info:

Part Number: GE6M-66-128 Wiper Stalk
$66.00+Shipping at CorkSport.

Just give them a call and ask for Derrick, He is the one that ordered mine so it should be pretty easy for him to get one for you if you want. Just be warned it takes a while to get. it's just as easy as putting in the other one into the protege5.
Just called CorkSport. The part number is on backorder from Japan for at least 3 months. I'm not happy.

Yeah... Sorry dude, they take a long time to get. I waited a long time for mine (about 2.5 months), but CorkSport is the easiest and most affordable place to get one I found. Some members on the board in Europe might be able to help you out, but you might be stuck waiting, it's worth the wait.

noclue, we know that, but the cheapest way to get the stalks are through corksport, who order from japan... or you can use the same part number at you mazda dealer, who will charge like a wounded bull

Mine was a question not a statement

I was asking if the MPV's switch will work with our car....

I believe the answer to your question is no. But I am not 100% certain on that one.

ok sorry, my bad!!!

set up a meet with someone in your area!!! i can't imagine why it wouldnot fit, i'm sure that mazda speed don't use a special fitting....

but serisously set up a meet with someone else... it will take about 15 minutes to try out their wiper stalk.... then you can be 100% certain!!!

neither does my car... i was able to get one from a ford laser sedan....

see my pics if you have never seen this car... apparantly its similar to an escort?

i know its been posted that you can get the E-spec stalks form corksport, but i noticed tonight that they have them under the interior section now. so you dont need to call anybody, you can just order them now. They show $72 for them

Is this E-spec stalk the same one mentioned earlier in this thread? Corksport's part number for it on their site is 99-p-030... probably their own cataloging number.

i believe so. thats the one the sedans need. im pretty sure what happened is some people started ordering them then corksport probably just said, "hell lets stock them" and put their own part number on them

Just Installed

It fits like a glove. I was a little nervous prying up the plastic around the steering column but after I got it off it went quite smoothly, about 20 mins. For anyone else planning to do this, a butter knife was a big help.

Now all I have to do is wait for it to rain and I can test it out. :)

I ordered one about three weeks ago, and they must've had it in stock. I had it in hand in about ten days, maybe less. (across country)

It can take a while depending on if they have it in stock, I was one of the first to order it before they had it on their site and it took like 6 or 7 weeks I think, but the turn around should be much qucker now since its a regular stock item for them.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone in the thread I just completed this mod. I have never done any automotive stuff so I was pretty tentative at doing this. Thanks to all the posts I got my part from MazdaStuff.com for $79ish and had the part installed with in 8 days of ordering. I did it last night and it took about 10 minutes to get the column housing off, 5 minutes to actually swap out the stalks, and 10 to get the housing back on. The ingition light was a pain in the rear, that's what took so long to get the whole thing back together. I wouldn't have even attempted this if everyone here had not been so great in posting the how-to. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

I just found out that the replacement wiper switch from corksport does not have control of the rear wiper like the stock one. Is there any way to get around this, or do i have to buy a 2004 MP3 stock wiper switch or a stock 1999-03 MPV switch?
