Does anybody know how to tell the difference between knock-off Bride seats and real Bride seats? What should i look for? Specific details? Thanks...

smell them...

Real Bride seats smell like Sushi....Faux Bride seats smell like Chicken Chow Mein.

doesn't bother me much, i put soy sauce on both. But really though, anyone?

lol, that's definately one way to tell the difference. :D If they're under 500 bucks apiece, they're knockoffs.

so if someone had knockoffs but with a 550 buck price --- how do you tell ??
Oh wait -- they are over 500 bucks, so they must be real ----->(hand)

u see knock offs in cars that have chrome rims, altezzas, huge wings :)

naw idk

Bride seats are very expensive and they have a disclaimer on them regarding maximum weight of about 220lbs. other than that..i wouldn't know.

I bet 20$ none of you could tell the difference between a good knock-off and a real bride. It's nearly impossible. mp3skaternc showed me some beautiful replicas. Even have the little ghost..monster...thing..tag on back.. Keep in mind..You have to be tiny to fit in these..very..

small things like quality of the seat material, quality of the stitching, materials used and overall quality of the seat construction. of course you'd have to have seen quite a few authentic brides to get a feel for it or really know how a seat is made/should be made (for example those sparco knock offs sometimes have stitching in it but you can tell the stitch work of the letters looks really horrible compared to the real thing). other then that if it's not the material that bride normally uses that's another giveaway (for example suede).

Notice the smiley face, Einstein. I was joking.(poke)

You won't fit in it is one way to tell. If you are above a 32 waist and you fit comfortable in it and your head is below the top of the headrest it is not real. Brides are small and uncomfortable for those weighing over 160lbs and above 5'8"

Sparco Torinos are nice seats...also Corbeau seats seem to fit bigger people well.

Replica Brides can be found on eBay. :)
