okay went right ahead nd just did it on my laser blue protege. Worked just fine no color difference and looks much cleaner

If you plan on doing this mod do yourself a HUGE favor and go buy a 3M Stripe Off Wheel for your cordless drill. It makes the job an easy 2-hour job instead of a painful 5-hour job. I removed the door moldings on the driver side today- it was hellish until I went and bought a 3M Stripe Off Wheel for my cordless drill.
It took me 45 minutes to remove the first 8 inches of glue (and chipped the paint way too many times) while using a credit card, fingernails, 3M adhesive remover and a heat gun. But it only took me an hour to remove the entire rest of that side of the car using the 3M wheel. This thing is the shiz. Will do the other side tomorrow.
Looks so much better without the moldings!
