how to remove turbo

same, im looking around right now as far as searching the threads, nothing showed up in the How To:, and haven't really found much else yet, I need to know just because im working on taking everything apart and stripping my car to part it out, and Need to get it done within the next week or 2 so i can get my car out of my parents yard and start the part out thread on here.

I have removed all of the bolts on the exhaust manifold that I know of, there is one damn bolt in the middle that I cant get to with a wrench or even an angled socket thing so im trying to just take everything apart around it, so I can hopefully and eventually get the thing out, if anyone would like to chip in on a general process or where to look/steps on which to remove first and whatnot that would be great.. because right now I'm not seeing a very easy/possible way for getting to some of these bolts.

Just punch it.. It'll come loose.. Trust me.

i pulled the mani, turbo, s-pipe off all in one piece...i had to remove all of the piping from the turbo and pull the mid-pipe off the car, radiator and hoses.

the easiest way is to take it off as one, disconnect the water and oil lines, sensors, then remove the manifold bolts and the spipe. pull up and u r done, u can pull the parts apart outside the car

I did it the same way Just a couple weeks ago, when my metal gasket in between the turbo and mani decided to explode.
I would say replace all the bolts and nuts while your at it, I know I had some stripped/beginning to strip, and missing all together.

Yea the easiest way will be to remove the manifold, turbo and s-pipe as whole. Drain your radiator and remove it as well so you don't risk puncturing it, and the drain the oil as well of course. Disconnect the water and oil lines, undo the manifold and j-pipe bolts.. and just take out the entire turbo assembly as whole.

thanks, ya I got it done today finally, some of those bolts are in way too small areas lol, that middle bolt on the exhaust mani was my problem, couldn't find a wrench that could move it, then when i did, like all the others, it was 8 small turns just to get the bolt turned around once and so on.. but got it out, hope I won't have to do that any time soon
