how to mount HKS SSQV with MS3 flange?

thanks for the help you guys... i got it installed just fine, had to use some gheto ass hose clamps to keep my vacuum hose on. it seems that the gasket that came with my actual SSQV was too big so i took it to a friends shop and he just traded me for the right size, fits on there perfectly now, i have it mounted the same way you do...

fortunately (and unfortunately) a friend of mine accidentally snapped one of the bolt heads clean off that held the intercooler shroud on so i didnt have to worry about those clearance issues...

it seems my stock recirc. hose fit on just fine at the angle i have it.. ill get some engine bay pics that show how mine looks sometime soon, LOVE the sound though, its so sick since i have the COBB SRI as well, hearing that turbo whine as it spools, ohhhhh man

and Kain, if i bought the pre-assembled kit, it would cost about 20-30 more to add the black SSQV, SU had a special for the black one for 190 as opposed to 210-220 so i took advantage of it and bought them seperate.. the c-clip was a huge pita but a friend of mine helped out and we got it in no problems the first time.

bringing back more painful memories for some...

I am having problems with the damn c clip...

i already have a set of good snap ring pliers. compressing the c ring isnt the problem.
the problem is the big ass o ring that came with it. that thing doesnt let me push the valve down to get enough clearance to slip the c ring into the groove.
hell it looks like even without the o ring, that the valve and c clip wont be able to fit (again with the c ring on the groove)

oh n duh...i have the cp-e flange...

yes kain...i know...i regret not getting the ms3 specific kit...thats what i get for wanting a black valve to be different...that eventually is turning silver after multiple hours of frustration...

any tips on getting that s*** on somehow...without the typical "go to sears, lowe's, home depot, ur moms (lol) and get a set of snap ring pliers...push other end with screw driver, etc"

i have tried all that at least 10 times...

but for real any help is appreciated

use a worm clamp to press it together (obviously use something to keep it from scratching...) also, taking of the shroud makes it easier to get at...
