How To: Greddy Full Auto-timer Install

lol ya I know, I just had it in my head that I wanted one, but anyways with the off button, would that stay off until I turn it on, so that it wouldn't turn on every time I start the car, that's the only reason I wanted one, because most of the time I won't need to TT and it would be nice to not have to turn it off every time I start the car, once I get use to it and do the keyless bypass thing and also cut the alarm wire so I can alarm the car when it is going as well lock it I will use it more, but for now I would just like to be able to install it so that I can keep it off when I want it to be off.. that's all lol

if you turn it off, it stays off

you can also set up two TT modes,
there are 4 settings:

HI - calculates a high time of how long the engine will stay on depending on how agressive you were driving (revving high)
LOW - calculates a low time of how long the engine will stay on depending on how agressive you were driving (normal revving)

P1 - a preset amount of minutes:seconds you would choose to leave the engine on.
P2 - a preset amount of minutes:seconds you would choose to leave the engine on.

or you may choose to leave the ebrake off and the TT would not activate...
or you may choose to after removing the key, lower the ebrake for the engine to shut off.

i still don't see when anyone would ever need an extra SW

in reality, to tell you the truth...
nobody who drives this car to work needs a Turbo Timer...
our turbo's are water cooled and oil cooled thus preventing the dreadful oil cocking.

another thing, unless you maniacally drive ubber fast, revving ubber high and come to a parking lot and immediately turn off your engine, you will never need this....

lol ok, and ya after playing around with my brother's evotion TT I noticed that if he turns it off, it will stay off when you turn the car back on, (although his doesn't keep the car running so I gotta fix that)

but ok I get it now, I didn't realize that, there's very little info about a lot of this stuff, and I had that idea just stuck in my head, and I try not to tap into the ign harness but since I am only taping into it with the TT and not anything else, it's fine..

last thing, (I was originally going to ask about whether to use the speed sensor wire or not, but I just will since I don't have to use it anyways)

but just so I know which wires I want to hook these up to, on the TT, the red wire needs the 12v constant (which ever color wire that may be in the ign harness), the Green wire on the TT needs what kind of wire? (the starter wire or the ignition wire? so will I be looking for there to be voltage when the key is in the ?? position?), and the Blue wire on the TT needs a which kind of wire in the ign harness?(same question as what the green wire needs, the starter/ign wire or when the key is in ?? position?)

thanks a lot for the help, I'm just still a little unsure of which wires the wires from the TT needs (such as what those wires from the ign harness connect to) and I just want to make sure that is right before I install, since I need my car to go back to school monday, and I really don't want to have to drive the dodge stratus lol

ya I figured that, which is why I have put it off for so long, but I figured since it came with the car when I bought it (just not installed) I mine as well put it in, and I only really plan to set it to 10sec, or just to have it if I need/want it in the future for some reason.. also when I drive 1 1/2 hours to school at 4k rpm and boosting here and there in 4th gear I wouldn't mind the option for a little bit more idle time..

oh wow lol, I completely missed that page when I was looking at that before, I guess the scroll wheel skipped it, and I even tried to look back lol.. anyways thanks that helps a lot.. well this will be going in tomorrow..

and that makes things much easier not having to hook up the rpm wire, I didn't really want to mess with that anyways
