It is a crazy pic. I just can't see how a bird would sit still for a photo op. lol.

Nice write up so far. I saw you mention AOE and I thought, this guy has to live in Tampa...Sure enough.
I live about 3 min from AOE

I remember doing the A/C Control mod and LED back in 2003 when it came out. Did it all in one shot. Turned out awesome. I want to see how his turned out. I dont have that car anymore but I may just do the MSP like I did before. Never did the instrument cluster though.

I haven't forgotten about this thread. I have been extremely busy with full time school, 25 hrs a week at work, 3 soccer teams, searching for a condo, just getting engaged... so yea... it'll happen just be patient.

I am planning on fixing up my ac controls with LEDs this summer and posting pics

solution to burn spots and better overall result

First off forget the sanding off of the film once you have the gauge apart instead of of nipping the plastic slide a thin feeler gauge between clear plastic and gauge dremel slot to remove the clear from the gauge be careful take your time after its removed don't sand steal your wife's nail polish remove take a cotton ball and apply to the back off gauge it takes a little time but it will come off and it will leave a clean instead of scuffed surface. Use strip leds not individual leds it give a better and more even light displat you will have to modify the white housing to have a level surface to apply the strip leds in sections of three lights per each side off gauges so that a total of 9 leds per gauge ecept for the gas and temp which only needs 3. once you have them arranged put your gauges face down and apply glass frost made by krylon. Put it all back together and you will be very pleased.. Ill post pictures soon..peace
