How to avail warranty ?

I just bought a used 2013 Mazda 3 iSV (from a private party, not a dealer). It still has warranty, although the guy I got it from did not share any relevant documents.
A week later, I feel hear a screeching sound whenever I start the engine and turn my steering. There is no such sound when I am on the road and turning, so can't say it's just a greasing issue.

I am new to US and not aware of the process behind availing warranty. Who do I call ? Can this problem be covered ? Will I be charged extra for this ?

Take it to a dealer if it is still covered.
