How reliable is the ms3?

Looking to get one within the next few months, just curious as to if anyone has had a lot of major issues with them. It will be a daily except for in bad weather. I've seen to stay away from the 07 due to smoking turbos?

It will stay mostly stock especially the exhaust.

I just wonder why I don't see any being sold with more than 120k miles

All genjuans and ms6s potentially suffer from smoking turbos. All in all tho, pretty reliable car.

I DD mine, just recently parked for winter as I picked up a 2nd truck for winter. Mines an 07 with 97k on the clock and no issues or smoking... still original turbo

A 2007 isn't that old... under normal driving conditions (12k miles yearly) that is only 60k miles. I'm sure there are those MS3s out there that have a ton of miles but there can't be a lot of them. My MS3 has been a daily driver and I'm up to 103,200 miles and I have had no issues, I've just done the basic maintenance.

Are you looking to buy one with a lot of miles or something?

No, looking to get one with 60k or less hopefully, but I've seen 2010 cars with over 100k

My dads 07 MS3 just broke 140k miles, DD. Original turbo started smoking around 90k, dealer replaced it and nothing else has broken at all besides that.

One of the more reliable cars I've ever owned. No real issues other than a coil/plugs and the smokey turbo. Replaced a purge solenoid around 50-60k, too. No real issue thus far.
