There is a low temp powder coating process that is entirely safe for wheels. I've had a few motorcycle wheels done with excellent results.

Oh, I was qouted $300 a set for powdercoating a set of car wheels. That included media blasting them.

What happens with you curb an aftermarket wheel or factory wheel? I wouldn't personally spray paint them to fix the mark. I'd either replace it, or live it with depending on the amount of damage.

yeah, there are low temp powder coating services available but not everywhere.

and i probably wouldn't fix an oem colored wheel either, BUT it'd be a lot easier to fix a painted wheel than it is to fix a powdercoated wheel.

Got a few numbers for local powder coating shops. I can get the wheels done for $45 a wheel. Can't beat that price! The guy said he has been doing wheels for 15 years. I think that's the route I'm going to take. Only issue I have is I would have to pull all the wheels and get the tires and weights taken off. The problem is the shops 45 miles away. LOL I have another car to drive the rims down with. It's not really a problem as much as a hassle.

more trouble than worth. Paint them with caliper paint. You've have to disassemble them to properly powder coat them.

i'd consider it a much bigger hassle to have to get the tires unmounted and mounted and waiting... realistically a week or more for your wheels to be done.

I brought mine down Thursday afternoon and picked all 4 up on Friday afternoon.

lol thanks, they are ms6 rims... they are the same each year
