How much would you pay for a '90 with 11k mi?

There was one in the Roanoke, Virginia newspaper last year, a 1990 with 12k miles IIRC. I think he wanted $15k for it. It was for sale for a long time.

were they for real with that price?

There was a '91(?) BRG Miata with very very low miles, like 300 something, on E-bay a short time ago. It was a showroom piece and I think it fetched $18K or something.

There was a miata locally that had 12k miles on it, garage kept, that sold for 16k

why the crap aren't these people driving their miatas?

You've got that right. It's almost blasphemous.

I've seen 3 or 4 early model NA's with low miles go for $8k+. $15k is way too much.

what would "I" pay? About $4k now if the seller would take that, is another question..

11k?!@#

is it all stock? whats the conditon of the interior and exterior?

I'm no Miata expert, but the car looks 100% bone stock to me. Like I said (typed), it is the dealer's personal car and though we're in Illinois he kept this car in a vacation spot he has in Cali. I sat in the car and its almost pristine. It has been driven and it gets started regularly so it does show very minor wear here and there.

I'll try to get some pics for pure curiousity sake. It's not every day you see an older car in that condition. :)

Why spend so much for an old car that hasnt been driven when you can buy a newer one with 75-100k miles then rebuild the engine, turbo it, rework the suspension, customize it, and have leftover money for the tires you going to go through? I'd take the second option anyday. The way some people spend 10-15k (bang)

Oh and to answer the thread title, I would buy it for 7500 and resell it on ebay to some weirdo that'd pay 15k for it.

One would buy it for the same reason as buying a new car and performing the same mods as you listed. Unless it has been stored under a tarp for the past 15 years, it's essentially a "new" car.
