How much H/P can stock interals handle

i was just wondering how much horse power we can get out of stock interals

there's no set limit, but 230whp-250whp seems to be the breaking point. all depends on tuning, setup etc though.

depends how much boost u wanna run. id say ne thing over 15 w/o supporting mods (stock) would be bad big exhaust big intercooler would be a start but enough supporting mods everyone runs 12psi wouldnt go past that unless u got the money.

Our cars can handle around 300 with proper tuning. The problem is, the stock ECU SUCKS!! And piggy backed computers still use the stock ECU for some things. If you get a full standalone and tune it right, you can go higher than most people think.

i dont own a mazdaspeed as of right now but do you guys think it will be possible sometime down the road to chip the ecu like they do to hondas? i believe it'd be an interesting and much cheaper setup as opposed to a UC or mpi tuner.

Any msp with mpi tuner and fmic will easily be able to run 12 psi no problem..the guy name is something like 505zoom..

(mswerd), if you're looking for safe, don't mod, i've said it once and i'll say it many more times, no matter what you do there is a risk, no matter how insignificant, it's there. tune properly and your car will last you, if not, strenthen up the internals to delay the wear and tear (yes DELAY, not prevent), and if you're worried about your warranty, don't mod (yupnope)

I've got 250hp right now (at the crank), but I have every intention of putting down around 300 wheel horse in the next couple months when I get my fuel situated.

I will say this im running everyday 10 -12 psi with no tuning with my mods listed i drive normal but do race the car a few times a month. Im waiting for more info on this unichip and how it works. Also a afc would help.msp 6msp7 pics of my car

The mods on his car are 3in turbo-back, filter, different bypass, and around 10psi.

Is it safe to run 12-13psi with a FCD daily?? He doesnt have any fuel mods, Im sure a Walbro (190lph?? 255lph??) would keep things safer.
I checked his plugs recently and theres no sign of the car running lean.

get it dyno'd and look at the a/f's for lean spots/detonation. might be worth getting an LED for your knock sensor to monitor things as well.

I would defiantly NOT recommend running 12-13psi with out tuning the car properly.

The fuel pump is not the issue when running that much boost.

However, a 190 fuel pump is good for more than enough. I'll be running 15psi at the track at the end of the season with that pump. But I will have many other fuel and tuning upgrades to keep it safe.
