how much for HellaFlush wheels?

yeah, no, you're missing what were even talking about here....so let me put it in simple terms...

Flush...

Stretched (IE ******* stupid)

the audi isnt stretching the tires to "be flush" as its obviously not flush like the STi is. The euro crowd has decided that wide rims w/ awful offset w/ tires that arent wide enough is the cool thing to do and it looks like garbage...
the stretch is a function to be flush.

i see this topic pop up more and more on this board. this style is just never gonna catch on in the mazda community. i personally like the look on hondas, vw's, 240's but theres no way a protege could pull it off. im beggin for someone to prove me wrong. so i can still your offsets and let you do all the hard work(hi)

Apparently, most of the Mazda community (and myself included) may not cosign the widest wheel stretched tire look. But, everyone's taste varies. I think members of this board are sometimes far too quick to make fun or bash people for what they like if it doesn't appeal to their personal tastes.

I've seen people do some ridiculous s*** to their cars, and I'm not sure the stretch look even gets close to some of the dumb s*** I've seen from cars on this board (not to call anyone out.)

If you were referring to me, I've seen L-Schlegs' Sti before. 18x10 +30 advans. He set the camber so the tops of the tires/wheels will fit under the fenders. If not, they'd be out past the fender, which, to me, does not fall under flush.

So its now a fad to look dumb and scrape over every pothole, curb, driveway, rock, and speedbump? Where have I been? I can see lowered for better suspension control, but still have clearance. But i cant see doing that to a perfectly good car or sports car.

The Sti isnt bad, Ile give it that. Thats the kind of flush that doesnt hurt much, but...

Function over Flushin for me.

no, not you :) it was directed towards redpro99

im guessing this is just for the show, these guys probably dont roll around with those setup.
But i have a question, what do you need to adjust camber?

From www.dictionary.com:

flush

–adjective

<TABLE class=luna-Ent><TBODY><TR><TD class=dnindex width=35>1.</TD><TD>even or level, as with a surface; forming the same plane: The bottom of the window is flush with the floor. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
<TABLE class=luna-Ent><TBODY><TR><TD class=dnindex width=35>2.</TD><TD>having direct contact; being right next to; immediately adjacent; contiguous: The table was flush against the wall.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Someone please tell me how wheels/tires extending beyond the fenders in any way can be considered "flush"? Haha, english-owned!

I'm all for getting a wheel/tire combo as close to even with the fenders as possible but extreme negative camber and tires-that-don't-fit is not the answer. Properly-sized wheels and properly-fitting tires is the only way to go. Not only does it show you have some basic understanding of the concepts of suspension geometry but it also looks better (IMO).

To the OP: if you want to run a setup like any of the cars posted (stupid, IMO) be prepared to throw down at least $2k (USD) for wheels, $1k (USD) for coilovers and whatever additional fees you will need for fender rolling/pulling, alignments, lug nuts, etc.

Notice you dont see any of them bashing around on a track. Like it or hate it.
That's beside the point. Regardless of what it's called, it's not "flush" it's more like "protruding". They should just call it what it is. Honestly, what's with the clusterfuck of the english language lately. Using "flush" incorrectly and "hella" isn't even a word! I have a hard time taking anything (or anyone) seriously with language like that.

Still looks stupid...

I already hate the XB, this just took my hatred to a whole new level. Not to mention pure ugliness.

Agreed. A flush plus mild stretch look is pretty cool imo. Bragging about how many oil pans you've replaced is not cool. Trust me a lot more people would be running agressive stances and representing in this board if our cars would accept lower offsets. I see MS3/6 people running those rotas with offsets in the 30's when thats stock for a mk3/4 golf. If it was easier to pull off more people would be on board.
