Went to a dealer today.... Toronto area in Canada....... saw a black GT with tinted windows. It was the demo and they did not want to sell it............ but we got..... has about 6000 kms .... Has air and auto
Paid $24346 (Can)before tax............. Did I pay too much for a Black cool looking demo???

Out the Door price $30464 (Can) including Rust protection et all the ugly taxes.

Did I get taken.....
Out the door

No. That sounds like a reasonable deal. We paid $24750 (before tax) for GT+air (no auto, no tint, no rustproof) but have to wait from Aug 20th to almost Christmas for delivery. Considering you got one with 6000km and got to drive it home right away, I think your price was good.

Can't get it..........

Ouch got the call today........ they cannot give it to me ......... Mazda Canada will not let them sell them or release them until the recall gets fixed. They got $1000 of mine and I got no car........... guess it is better this way than having a car payment and no Masda5

MSRP on mine was around 20,300 or so. Drove off at 18,300. The dealership was offering a deal for military members of 35 dollars above invoice. Of course they never told me abou it; i found it on their website. After i brought it up they wanted to give me LESS then what they had offered my for my trade in. They gave me a sob story about how they had to make money some how and that they would lose money on the deal as it was. I told them i knew that even if i paid invoice for a vehicle they would still be making anywhere from 5-10% profit on it (based on the number of vehicles they have bought from mazda). At that they shut their mouths and let the deal go. INFORMED CONSUMER FOR THE WIN.

Cardinal Red,
AT Transmission, 6 disc CD, Spoiler, door seals extensions and sun roof

Paid $31000.00 Canadian inc tax, freight and PDI for GT with air, auto, roof rack, block heater, all weather mats and bumper cover. MSRP of 22795.00 before any options, Dealer invoice is 21274.00 according to Car Cost, I split the difference in profit. I'm happy with this price considering the dealer had the WW Pearl GT in 3 weeks. Not much margin according to Carcost about 7%. (spin)

Thanks!

Bought ours two weeks after they hit the local dealerships (about 3 months ago):

Mazda 5 Touring
Automatic, navigation, carbon gray exterior and the same black interior as everyone else :)

Negotiated price: $21000 US

We also got a free 1-week cruise as a small incentive (though we we're going to buy it anyway).

Hi, which dealer did you get yours ? How long wait time ?

Tks for any info

got a red touring 5, dealership was strange on negotiating. They would not budge on the sticker price at all, so I talked them up an extra $1k or so on my trade in from what I thought it was worth and got some discount there.

I would have taken less for the trade in if they had been more willing to negotiate the car price. In any case out the door then, including the trade, I paid $21k.

Silver Touring
Auto
Navigation
Homelink auto dim mirror
bumper step plate
cargo net
cargo cover

OTD: $22100

Red GT with air, 5MT, rust proofing, 4 winter tires + 16"rim, freight, tax's, etc... $27500
Is was a demo with 9300km

Silver
Manual
Base model no added options
Came with floormats :)
0 miles

$14,588 USD OTD
This was an ad promotional car and I ran down and got it before anyone else :)

Touring w/auto. I think it was like $18500, or somewhere around that. Around 20k out the door with tax, plates and all.

Whitewater pearl
Touring w/Nav
automatic

came with floor mats and free lifetime tire replacement (yeah, I'll believe it when I see it)

I think it was around $21K. I had another dealer offered me an identical Mazda5 for around $20,750, but the recall wasn't done on it yet (they had no idea when parts where coming in for it) and he offered me $3k less on my trade.

So I drove an extra 20 miles and got a way better trade in and dealt with nicer people.

Hope this is a good deal

I Leased the Mazda 5 GT with Auto and A/C.
It was in the Showroom with 200km on it.
I added the remote car starter with it ($900 approx.installed).
Total MSRP $25,900
The price for the 5 with the car starter is $476 a month tax included.
I got it for $450/mo (4 yrs lease) but I had to pay for approx. half of the car starter with my credit card "$400".
But then I added ALL the protection plan for the 4yr lease. Which was another $1000. That brought it back up to around $475/mo.

That Salesman @ Performance Mazda Orleans was good. No hidden charges. it is what it is. Not sure is this a good deal, email me for the name of the salesman if you are interested.

GT (Canada)

Model: GT (Canada), AT, A/C, platinum silver

MSRP: $25,000 (GT + metallic color + AT + A/C)

Price paid: ... well I have a trade-in, so it's hard to it put into meaningful numbers. However, I got the idea of not to expect more than a $500 discount (when w/o a trader-in). I guess this reflects the $500 graduation promotion that they are prepared to give to everyone.

However, many dealers in the Toronto area are offering $1000 grad discount, which is higher than that posted on Mazda website?!

Anyhow, the platinum silver that I got was in the showroom (0 miles - not demo), so I don't have to wait for it and I get the see the real thing before paying for it. It also saves me the hassle of making trips to Toronto.

Black on Black Touring
Automatic
Auto dim mirror w/compass
Remote Start
Cargo Net
Cargo Liner
Seat Covers
All Weather Mats
75 miles

OTD: $21800

Thanks. They are 17". I used the Toyo tires that came with the Mazda 5 GT. I really wanted to go with 18" but decided to stay with the 17" because the 18" with low profile tires will be a rough ride on a heavy Mazda 5. If I hit a pothole with 2 to 3 people in the car. I'm sure the 18" rims will be damaged.
