how much boost with this setup?

okie so with a spool fmic, 2'5' catback for now soon to be turboback...i can run low boost with greddy profec b 9psi and high 12psi?
 
I have never heard that you should not run your psi above 9 with the flash before? Is there any reason why this is? Is it because of the new fuel mapping that they did with the flash. Thanks.

They did nothing with the fuel mapping. If you've read about the flash, you'll see that they only advanced the timing on the car. Increased timing = bad when it comes to more boost. I'm flash and all I'll say due to dealers on the board is that I'm higher than the "safe" level. I was still killed by a SRT-4, though. WTF?@!#!
 
One suggestion if you want to run higher boost on a flashed car is to put higher octane fuel in it. I don't know about where you live but here you can get 100 octane race fuel. That would help prevent detonation. I haven't researched it yet but if there is a fuel pressure regulator you can up the pressure to richen the mixture. This might hurt lowend power but it would prevent detonation at high boost.
 
So since I have yet to get the flash, would it be wise of me to not get the flash at all, just so I can avoid this problem when I start to turn up the boost?

Safe Mode: Run 8.5psi with spikes hitting 9.5 at the very most


Relatively safe but some slight risk: Run 9psi for the most part with occasional spikes in the 9.5-10.0psi range
 
right now im running 7.5 low boost and 10 high boost with flash...and so far no pre-det...once i get a fmic im going to go 9 lo 12 hi...screw the flash...it can handle...the engine is nice...it will hold...
