How do you change the clock?

I have the GT model with Tech package. I can't figure out how to change the clock. I read the manual and it states that the system will automatically update. With daylight savings time coming much earlier than usual im not sure if thats the reason it hasn't updated yet. On the other hand, everything else has updated (my cell phone, cable box etc.) so I'm baffled. Hopefully theres an easy way to manually change the time.

click on the minutes then you can change

Must've missed the minutes. I too thought it updated automatically till I started playing with it.

it pays to discover...dont be afraid of touching the screen anywhere and you'll find something you never thought existed. I do that cuz I hate reading manuals

Well, I wrote them for three years (Navy tech manuals). It sucks. But guys like me feel better when someone does read them.

I only saw a touchscreen button to change the hour

You can only change the hour, not the minutes. It gets its timing from the GPS satellites. Extremely accurate timing.

Why can't they get the hour from the Satellite?(mj)
Funny, I think Galileo's daughter asked the very same question.(uhm)

Perhaps it is because the system of daylight savings is a construct of Congress who we all know to be a whimsical organization and not to be relied on.(gossip)

The easy, they can do, the difficult they don't touch; thankfully.(thumb)

To the best of my knowledge, to ensure accuracy across the entire constellation of GPS satellites, they have to operate on only one time standard, which is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or Zulu (in military parlance). The minutes are the same, the world over. In fact, standardized timing is applicable to all satellites.

Adjustments for a particular time zone are made by the particular application that uses the GPS signals. As related to the CX-7 Nav system, the owner selects the standard time zone they're in (region of the U.S.). The Nav gets its timing from GPS (the minutes). Standardized time is also important, because your NAV get's its position thru triangulation.

Ok, class is out for the day...time for recess.
