how do i remove the cig lighter surround?

here is my question: i just bought a 3 and the previous owner had satelite radio. i want to remove all the sat. connections, but how do i remove all the plastic to get into the "guts" behind the lighter.
the attached pic shows what i want to remove. someone please direct me to a "how to" link or post pics of how to remove all that plastic.

Thats a great guide, do you know any for getting the stock cd player out? Pictures or diagrams would be fine. Would you start at the same place and take stuff out on your way up until you get there or is there a quicker easier way of getting it out?
