How do I make HKS TT fit???

I didn't realize that the HKS turbo timer isn't a perfect fit in our slot under the steering wheels to the left, but after seeing THIS picture, I figured it could be done easily

But HOW do I do that? Just start cutting holes out of the side of my pocket?? I have it double side taped in there right now, but it is too far forward and I can't run my dashhawk at the same time cause of the OBD-II port.

Help??

take it off of the double sided tape and move it back?
i have my tt there and it fits. you have to obviously cut a hole in the back there to run the wires. i hope that helps

That pic is from someone else, mine is hanging out a bit. The left side of the pocket curves in and I can't push it back any further. Someone said cut a bit hole out of the side.... not interested in that.......

As the pocket tapers in, it becomes smaller than the turbo timer. It fits, but I can't push it all the way back. The pic above is from someone who (I think) said they just cut of a chunk of the pocket :\

Hey Les, put it in the glove center compartment like I did, it works great and it's out of site and out of mind.

or put it in the ashtray, or right above the ashtray. it sounds like you can't really have it in that spot and be aesthetically pleasing. get a smaller turbo timer?

Where my garage door opener is ;)

I think I'm just going to either learn to live with it OR start going at the side of the pocket with sandpaper until I can crush it in there

nah, simple fix is to just cut the left corner of the compartment so you can stick it in straight and still use your OBDII plug.

Mine is the new 09 model that comes in 2 pieces so it was MUCH easier to hide everything.

I'll just go in with a dremel and take a bit at a time until it fits. I already cut a hole in the back of the pocket so what's another one? Thanks guys!

Well since all your wires are set around that area, your pretty much stuck with that, sides the piece is cheap to replace. So dremel away, the simplest way to do it is take the "pocket" out and put the turbo timer on the bottom and trace out what you need to cut that way you only cut what is needed to get it to fit in there straight and not "butcher" it to death trying to get it right.
