nope!!! no mods are available for our cars yet..... j/k :D just do a search and you will find what you are looking for. -mike

I spoke with the inspector at mazda spinelli in lachine and he said if we put a turbo timer that it was ok and would not void the warrenty as it helps the turbo.

Hey guys if you want injen or aem cold air intake RMR is selling the injen for 415.oo plus tax and the aem for 405.00 plus tax . They also have turbo timers , don't ask them for a boost controller they wanted something like 800.00 for the greddy . Cheaper to order it from the US.

hey robsir ... what part of lasalle are you in ? I'm there too

I spoke to the people at Albi mazda (where i bought mine) and the guy said the same thing 2-20 told a guy i know; If the part makes the engine breathe easier, it won't void the warranty. But if something happens and the part that was modified is directly responsible, they won't accept your warranty.

I dealt with Spinelli before and they're ok. I think Mathieu Spinelli isn't there anymore, but i spoke to him a couple times back when he was Service Manager and he was pretty cool about mods. Apparently, you can install pretty much any bolt-on mods as long as you leave the by pass valve, the CATs and don't change the boost.
And as for your question about what mods we got ... i bought the Apexi AVC-R boost controller and blitz dciii turbo timer from ravspec (someone here on the forum - ravspec.com) and i ordered iON's front mount intercooler and cold air intake from Japtunings.

Carl said 1100$ CDN for the iON FMIC (its 1149$ USD on kinetic's website. They make the kit for ion). So i think 1100 CDN is a very good price. The intake is 425 i think

i think it's more expensive than the injen but i took ion's intake because i'm planning on buying his exhaust too and i know everything will work together so ... I think an injen is like 400 or something

Metal MP5 - Eric, I think you may have been mis-informed by someone. (Of both price as well as origin/make) Our FMIC kits are co-manufactured by Kinetic. We use their branded silicone hose (we piggyback on their hose shipments). The price quoted is actually incorrect (for the FMIC kit). You may want to check back with him on that. The price that he quoted on the CAI is with the purchase of the FMIC.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things :)

He quoted me the same price twice, so i will pay him that price .... now if he made a mistake and the FMIC is actually 100$ more or something, that's not my problem .... we'll see how that goes. =) I know your kit is more expensive than what he told me but hey, i'm not gona complain if he charges me less. At work, when i ask for a quote from one of our manufacturer, i pay the quoted price no matter what and thats it.

So you're telling me that the only relation between you and kinetic is the hose shipment ?

Metal MP5 - I think the only reason Carl quoted that price was as an intro offer (he's been known to take losses before). In anycase, in regards to our MSP parts; only our FMIC kits are co-manufactured. Kinetic in fact commissions us to design and build alot of one-off and prototype stuff for them as well. Hence we make them one of our dealers as well.

cool to know, thanks.

And like i said ... all i really care about is getting my parts as soon as possible, no matter what the price is. But I'm not the one who will complain if he wants to sell it under the cost price =)

Any idea when you'll be able to ship those kits my way ?
