Horible car purchase story

What an idiot; I can't feel bad for him at all.....it freakin' reads like "Catcher in the Rye" at some parts.

He 'USED' to hold an ASE Cert; he 'USED' to hold a State Emissions Specialist Cert....blah blah blah....

There's two words for people like this: Buyer Beware. It's been around for freakin' centuries......he should really worry about other things in life (he can't even sleep due to the "worrying" or thinking about the M3)...

...some people...

This guys is telling this story like an old man. It seems to never end. I don't know who to feel more sorry for him or me for reading this

This is a classic case of what happens when you fall in love with a car. Granted without the fraud, but you should never buy a car without having the title checked out. Before Carfax you could do this through the DMV for ownership, now you can get alot more.

what was the ending? it looks like it got cut off at the end?
anyway...if he can catch all of those other problems early on, how can he miss the others? Can't feel bad at all...this just sounds like stupidity; especially if he "knew cars"...I don't even know cars and I'd spot half of that stuff in 2 seconds...wouldn't you stop after you found a bunch of problems (especially the spacers) that early and that quick..?
blah that was a waste

The remainder of the story is in another thread further down the board. The story has reached Russia and Australia. I say, if you have the money to fly somewhere to buy a car, and then drive it 3000 miles, then you have enough money to brush off $10000.

It always comes back to the same saying....

IF IT LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT USAULLY ISN'T!

$10000 for a M3 in South Florida, What a FUCKTARD!

damn, you guys are dicks...lol

he loved the car and fell for the BS franciso spewed. i read the whole thing and feel bad for him...10k, s***.....

is there anymore updates after the scond page with the "banyan tree" title up top?

i personally hope he gets his money back and that francisco guy gets fired

Yeah, so what happened w/ the Chicago guy?

What a depressing story.`

You know, it sucks it happened to this guy, but I don't really feel sorry for him. In this day and age - the information age - you should really know enough to run a damn carfax immediately. It seemed like he knew his s*** about BMW and the M3. After seeing a couple of the things that were wrong with the car in the garage/test drive, he should've just walked. It was stupid to keep saying "Well, that sucks, but I'll fix it" the whole time. He seems like kind of an idiot. Oh well, hopefully he'll get his money back and damages (cost of staying out there and airfare).

Oh, and CARFAX CARFAX CARFAX.

Chris

i think that guy owes me $1000. thats how much i charge for reading such a long-ass story. jeez, didnt that guy take any writing courses in college. its called 'cutting out the fat.' that story could have been half as long as it was.
