hood gets hot

just had a quick question it may sound a little stupid but i have a 2009 speed3 and was just wondering if it is normal for the hood to get really hot after a drive. ive been noticing that after a normal drive the middle of the hood is extremely hot. not sure if this is normal any feed back would be appreciated.

I checked mine after my little twenty-minute commute today. Almost no hood heat at all (I leaned on her a bit more, too). How long does it take to appear?

thats strange haha my hood gets hella hot, people lean against it and are right back up thats how hot it gets haha

The few times I've touched the hood after a highway drive (60+ miles), the hood has been ice cold or a lot cooler then I thought it would have been. But then right below the hood is the air intake so there's always fresh air passing underneath it.

Not always specially when the audio installer decides to run the hot wire right above the turbo... sometimes the burnin plastic smell is bad but the small fire in the hood is a dead giveaway
