Honda A**hole hit me!

Uhm... isn't the colour of your car listed on your ownership/proof of registration? Would it not be a bad thing to get pulled over and the cop asks you why the colour of the car you're driving doesn't match what it says on your ownership/registration?

What difference does that make. As long as your name is on the registration it doesn't matter what color it is. It isn't a crime to paint your car a different color. The only thing that it would affect is when it comes to trade-in time and the value. Dealerships do not want a car that has been completly repainted. They're gonna wonder why the whole thing was repainted.

Im leaning toward titanium...does anyone have the color code for that color? Im going to see how much i can get the paint for. A friend of mine mixes paint at O'Reilly's, so im sure he can get me a good price on it.

Titanium Grey Metallic, color code 25G

But you might have to do something special if you want the mica sparkle. Try checking out posts of MSP owners trying to match their paint to see how that's done.

Oh, man I want! Thats a really nice color. Anyone think that would look good with gold rims?

It all depends on the shade of gold that is on the rims you would get. I have seen gold that looks like yellow all the way to gold that looks tan. I wanted to get gold Rotas originally, but after looking at the color, I realized that it would probably look horrible on my car. I'm going with bronze instead. (thumb)

its dark out, and kinda hard to see, but this is a spicy orange p5!

That is one bright P5....i think the spicy orange is outta the question. A little to much attention...

any frikkin' color will do ! just do it ! go gunmetal gray ! titanium gray ! spicy orange ! blazing yellow ! sunlight silver ! they're allll great on the P5 'cause it's the pimpenest protege around !

That Spicy P5 is just ugly looking.
Besides that, what are you going to do with your door jams and engine bay?? Would you seriously want the outside orange and the engine bay silver?? I think that just looks tacky.
If you go with the Titanium, at least it will be a lot closer match.

blue with red blue and sliver metallic flake friend has it on his mustang i must say if he didnt have it he car woulb be lame.

I agree on the titanium being a close match with the bits they can't paint. They might paint the door jambs depending on how much you're paying them, but the engine bay and underbody seem out of the question. I'd also check out samples of their work to make sure they do a good job.

Any color other than silver is going to kill the resale, in case you didn't already know this.

That said, the green is my favorite. Sweet.

A little off-topic, but what's with the derogatory terms? I don't see why you have to call the Prelude driver a "Honda @$$hole." That's harsh.
:wtf:

I think Titanium Grey is a little boring, think about it you see alot of grey cars. How many Orange do you see?

I will also Post some better pictures of the Spicy Orange P5
(MY CAR)

For resale value you would have to paint the door jams AND the engine bay. I love the titanium colour but it would cost a lot to do the engine bay. Door jams are pretty easy. Keep it the same colour but give it more coats and clear coat it to the hilt! Or fork out the money to do the engine bay. That's what I would do.

Ive thought about that, and now im debating on letting him go ahead and paint the car the original color for resale value purposes. Then use the extra cash from the insurance company to buy parts for the car, like a CF Hood or a new audio system. Im going to talk to the shop and see what they could do about the door jams and engine bay....if he'll paint the door jams, and maybe some of the engine bay ill be satisfied.
